The holidays are a special time for families to gather, enjoy a meal and make lasting memories, but for our neighbors who are struggling to feed their families, the season adds additional stress and challenges. We at Freestore Foodbank believe that every family deserves to share a holiday meal together.
For more than 50 years Freestore Foodbank has been providing boxes of food for our neighbors who are facing hard times to ensure they have a meal for Thanksgiving and the December holidays. Freestore Foodbank CEO Kurt Reiber once said, “When we think about providing food for the families in the tristate, hungry doesn’t take a holiday. We talk about food, connection, and hope and the food allows our families to really feel like they’re part of something. They’re part of a bigger community.”
