The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (Senior Box) is a Program offered in all 50 States specifically to reach seniors 60+ years old. Our partnership with The Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and The Indiana Department of Health helps distribute boxes within our 11 Counties in Ohio and Indiana.
Freestore distributes 6,170 boxes a month through our Partnership network as well as our Bea Taylor Market and Liberty Street Market. If you are interested in learning more about the Program you can reach out to a Partner Agency in your neighborhood.
Requirements of participation:
- Must be 60+ years old
- Within the income guidelines
- Reside within the county you apply
- Can only participate with one agency
- Once signed up, you must continue partnership with that agency
Boxes could include the following items (items change monthly):
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruit
- Canned protein
- Grains
- Powdered milk
- Juice
- Cereal
- Cheese
- Peanut Butter
