Duke Energy Foundation and Freestore Foodbank Partner to Support Families Impacted by Recent Storms

In response to the recent severe storms that affected communities across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, the Duke Energy Foundation has partnered with Freestore Foodbank to provide emergency food assistance for households experiencing hardship.

The partnership will help deliver food and grocery support through Freestore Foodbank’s network of community partners serving impacted areas with prolonged power outages, including Amelia, Williamsburg, Felicity, Covington, Newport, Westwood/Cheviot, Monfort Heights, and Lincoln Heights.

“Our goal is to ensure families have access to nutritious food as they recover from storm-related challenges,” the collaboration team noted in planning discussions. Freestore Foodbank and local agencies are coordinating efforts and preparing resources to meet increased community needs in the coming days.
