Program support
Power Pack: Each Friday during the school year, Freestore Foodbank sends 6,000 packs of food, known as Power Packs, home with students to ensure they have something to eat on weekends. https://freestorefoodbank.org/power-pack/
School Pantries: Addresses child and teen hunger in our community by providing food to students and their families at middle and high schools. https://freestorefoodbank.org/school-pantries/
Equipment: Vehicles, warehouse equipment, and other large-scale items needed to accomplish our mission.
Cincinnati COOKS!: Cincinnati COOKS! is a free culinary job training program for under- and unemployed individuals. During the 10-week course, students learn the mechanics of a commercial kitchen, as well as professional and life skills to ensure success in the food service industry and in their personal lives. https://freestorefoodbank.org/hope-stability/
LIFT the Tristate: The primary objective of LIFT is to establish a link between adults who are currently unemployed/underemployed with prospective job openings in the logistics, inventory, facilities, and transportation sectors. This comprehensive 10-week program is available to low-income participants at no cost. LIFT plays a pivotal role in fostering stability for families within the local community. https://freestorefoodbank.org/lift-the-tristate/
Clinic Pantries: Locating pantries within healthcare facilities provides patients regular access to nutritious food in the same place where they receive medical care. This is particularly important as poor nutrition is a leading cause of illness in the United States. https://freestorefoodbank.org/clinic-pantries/
