Holiday Food Distribution

2018 HOLIDAY DISTRIBUTION FLYER

Giving the Gift of Hope

Holidays are a special time. They are also one of the most challenging times of the year for children and families that we serve. We believe that every family deserves to share a holiday meal together. Each year, the Freestore Foodbank provides boxes of food for our neighbors who are facing hard times to ensure they have a meal for Thanksgiving and the December holiday.

HOLIDAY FOOD DISTRIBUTION SCHEDULE

Thanksgiving Food Distribution

Between Monday, November 19 and Tuesday, November 20, the Freestore Foodbank provided food for a Thanksgiving meal to help 6,500 households, enough to feed 18,400 individuals in our hometown this holiday. An additional 12,000 pounds of food was given to three community partners for their local holiday distribution to serve over 500 families. This year the amount of food distributed increased by 33%.

Cincinnati Bengals Executive Vice President Katie Blackburn, Director Eric Ball, and players Matt Lengel, Jordan Willis, Kent Perkins, Josh Topou, Brad Lundblade, and Bengals staff were among the many volunteers as well as companies GE, US Bank, Duke Energy, Fifth Third, First Financial, and more.

Giving Back Throughout the Year

The faces we meet and the stories we hear serve as a great reminder of the importance of sharing the gift of hope year-round. Please consider making a donation or volunteering your time to our efforts throughout the year.
