Distribution Center Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in a team-building opportunity for a team or group? Your volunteer work can make a significant difference. Groups and individuals can help pack Power Packs during the school year, Senior Food Boxes, Emergency Boxes, Summer Kid Boxes, or VA Produce Boxes monthly at the Distribution Center. Your contribution is invaluable.

Bea Taylor Market Volunteer Opportunities

We understand that everyone has different schedules. That’s why we offer a range of shifts during the summer months. Whether you prefer mornings, afternoons, or weekends, we have a shift that suits you. High​‌ school and college students can also find shifts that allow them to earn service hours.

Liberty Street Market Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer shifts are Monday through Friday, morning from 7:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. and afternoon from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each shift is limited to 10 volunteers. The Liberty Street Market provides emergency food to those in need.

Volunteer your time

Freestore Foodbank needs you to pack and distribute food for programs like our Power Pack weekend sacks for children, senior boxes for older adults on a limited income and produce boxes delivered direct to patients’ homes from hospital referrals. We also need your help stocking the shelves of our markets. Learn more about opportunities for individuals, families and groups.

Help us spread the word about what matters most in our community. Sign up through Feeding America’s advocacy portal to be notified when vital legislation may impact hunger in our region. Run A Virtual Food Drive

Virtual Food Drives are an easy way to help Freestore Foodbank allowing our purchasing power to go further with your donation. Thanks to community connections to grocery stores, manufacturers, distributors, Feeding America and more, Freestore Foodbank is able to purchase more products for less price. This means your donation goes even further than it would at our local grocery stores.

The Summer Meals Summer Food Service Program gives Freestore Foodbank the opportunity to serve children in need during the summer months when they are away from school. Kids ages 2-18 receive nutritious lunches prepared by Cincinnati COOKS!
