Volunteer Position Description
The CDC Office Assistant provides customer service to member agencies via phone and administrative support for the Capacity Development Center. Responsiblilities include: update & maintain email serve, record training registrations, enter information into database, prepare training handout packages and prepare for events, place outgoing calls and accept incoming calls, and assist callers or refer caller to appropriate staff person. The schedule is very flexible.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft applications & internet, professional telephone etiquette
Agency Preferred Qualifications
Experience using office equipment such as printers, copiers, computers, etc.
Physical Requirements & Mental Processes
Hearing, light lifting, seeing, sitting, walking, light lifting, talking, observing, and ability to use hands.
Downtown area, an open office space interaction with the general public. Potential for high risk clientele including mental illness and substance abuse related behaviors.
