PNC Power PackPNC Bank volunteers took time out of their day Thursday to assemble Power Packs at The Mayerson Distribution Center in Bond Hill for the Freestore Foodbank’s Power Pack program. Volunteers filled each Power Pack with kid-friendly, shelf-stable food items. Participating children receive those Power Packs every Friday to ensure they have something to eat over the weekend.

Kay Geiger, PNC Regional President of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, and Warren Weber, PNC Executive Vice President/Corporate Banking Manager, attended the event. PNC is generously providing the Freestore Foodbank with $46,000. The money will allow the Freestore Foodbank to provide about 15,000 Power Packs to Tri-State children.

The volunteer efforts and gift are part of the Freestore Foodbank and Feeding America’s annual Hunger Action Month campaign, which aims to increase awareness about the issue of hunger.
