The Freestore Foodbank and the Cincinnati Bengals are teaming up again for the annual Bengals/Freestore Foodbank Canned Food Drive. Volunteers will collect non-perishable food and monetary donations at each entrance to Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday, November 20 prior to the Bengals home game against the Buffalo Bills.
“We hear each year from fans that they left their canned goods on the kitchen counter in a rush to get to the game,” said Freestore Foodbank President and CEO Kurt Reiber. “We want Bengals Nation to know that a $5 donation is just as powerful and will help us provide 15 meals to hungry families.”
This marks the 30th year that the Bengals have hosted the canned food drive for the Freestore Foodbank. Last year, Bengals fans made enough food and monetary donations to provide more than 71,000 meals to hungry children and families in our community.
We truly appreciate the support of the Cincinnati Bengals, Bengals fans and U-Haul of Southwest Ohio, which provides pods to collect the canned good donations.
