Volunteer Position Description

The Recruitment Assistant assists the Recruitment Coordinator be completing special projects and day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include: communicate volunteer opportunities and provide volunteer information to all potential volunteers and/or donors, ensure that the department has an accurate record of all volunteers, schedule individual volunteers, interview and train potential volunteers as needed, and assist with monthly volunteer orientation.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Self starter with good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to communicate both written and orally well.

Agency Preferred Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled in Human Resources Management or closely related undergraduate program. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills is a plus. Need reliable form of transportation.

Physical Requirements/Mental Processes

Sitting, standing, walking, talking, seeing, and ability to lift 5lbs.

Work Environment

Residential area, office environment, minimum interactions with outside vendors.
