Help us sell ducks at one of the following Kroger stores: Blue Ash, Delhi, Hyde Park, Harper’s Point, Madeira, Western or Florence, KY. You may even be the volunteer to sell the lucky duck worth not only the grand prize; a 2016 Honda HR-V, but one million dollars!! Channel Your Inner Mascot: Quacky Mascot Volunteers NeededQuacky, our Rubber Duck Regatta mascot, has a very busy schedule during “Duck Season!” He attends various events throughout August and at the beginning of September. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age, no taller than 5’7”, can withstand extremely hot and stuffy conditions for at least 20 minutes inside the costume and be animated in front of crowds and cameras. It’s Harvest Time at the Giving Fields! Volunteers Needed to Gather the Produce!Spaces are still available for individuals and groups to schedule a time to come out and volunteer at our Giving Fields! This is a great volunteer activity for families, individuals, students, and groups of all ages. We harvest the produce Tuesday through Saturday and need help daily to ensure enough product is available for the community agencies to pick up daily. Call our volunteer hotline at 513-482-7550 for more information on available dates and shift times. The Giving Fields prides itself on being a farm to table production in 48 hours or less. Your help is needed to make it happen.

Gearing up for the Holidays: Adopt - A – FamilyWhen your corporate group or family begins discussing what to do for the holidays and how they can give back to the community, think about adopting a family! The Freestore Foodbank helps to make over 200 families Christmas holiday a little brighter each year with special help from the community. We are looking for donors to help us provide gifts to the families that participate in the programs offered at our Customer Connection Center. Be on the lookout in the September Edition of the Volunteer Connection newsletter for more details about this holiday cheer opportunity.
