Location: 1141 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202
Duration: Long-term – more than 3 months
Time Commitment: 4 hours/week
Schedule: Monday, 9am-5pm and/or Tuesday-Friday 1pm-5pm

Essential Functions: This person is the first contact that visitors and callers have with the Freestore Foodbank, specifically department heads and community leaders at the Administrative Office located at 1141 Central Parkway. Volunteer will coordinate walk-in and phone traffic for the agency. Since this person is the first contact that the public has for the agency, volunteer must have an outgoing personality, be polite and professional. This person will assist the Executive Administrative Manager in sharing accurate information to the public and staff. Volunteer will be welcomed to become a part of a professional organization and help the administrative functions run efficiently and effectively. Monitor the communication console, routes calls and takes messages. Greets and directs visitors. Perform clerical duties for Administrative staff, including faxing, collating, copying. Enter data in spreadsheets, create charts, etc. Sort and distribute mail for the building. Assist the Executive Administrative Manager with clerical tasks. Keep a calendar of meetings, schedules and events for the agency. Take messages for staff as necessary. Check voice mail to ensure messages are current. Help Executive Administrative Manager take care of office equipment including copier and fax machine. Help ensure the equipment is in working order or make arrangements for appropriate repairs/ servicing. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or division manager.

Minimum Qualifications: This person must be flexible and willing to help with a wide variety of assignments. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a friendly manner with a wide variety of people. Have the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people and to maintain confidentiality.

Requirements: Minimum age 18 years old. Reliable transportation. Resume, Professional Volunteer Application, Liability Waiver, Background Check (completed/paid by FSFB), Drug-Free Workplace Acknowledgement, Disclosure of Confidential Records Acknowledgement.
