Clinic Pantry

The Rubber Duck FAMILY (Food as Medicine in Low-Income Youth) Market is a pilot initiative of Freestore Foodbank and Hopple Street Neighborhood Health Center of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center with support from the Bob Edwards Fund.  As part of their visit, each patient is screened for food insecurity.  If a patient screens positive, they are provided with a supply of shelf-stable food from the in-clinic pantry.  In addition to food assistance, the staff at Hopple provides connections to social work, Legal Aid, SNAP, mental health, and transportation.  Twice a month, produce distributions provide access to fresh fruits and vegetables to Hopple families and the surrounding community. If you are interested in learning more about clinic pantries or becoming a site, please contact Ann Viancourt at 513-482-7295 or aviancourt@freestorefoodbank.org.
