The Freestore Foodbank unveiled a new tractor on Thursday, June 21, 2018 which was made possible by a gift from the Kroger Foundation. The unveiling took place at the Freestore Foodbank’s Mayerson Distribution Center in Bond Hill.
Kroger donated $100,000 to help the Freestore Foodbank purchase the tractor. It pulls a 53-foot trailer and delivers between 100,000 to 140,000 pounds of food each week to some of the Freestore Foodbank’s largest partner food pantries in the tristate. The tractor replaces equipment that was beginning to break down.
