The Freestore Foodbank unveiled a new tractor on Thursday, June 21, 2018 which was made possible by a gift from the Kroger Foundation. The unveiling took place at the Freestore Foodbank’s Mayerson Distribution Center in Bond Hill.

Kroger donated $100,000 to help the Freestore Foodbank purchase the tractor. It pulls a 53-foot trailer and delivers between 100,000 to 140,000 pounds of food each week to some of the Freestore Foodbank’s largest partner food pantries in the tri-state. The tractor replaces equipment that was beginning to break down.
