ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Communications Manager.   Management and analytical tracking of all Freestore Foodbank social media efforts.  Responsible for marketing, management scheduling, and tracking in regards to the Speakers Bureau program.   Will give assistance in preparing presentations (PowerPoint, Prezi) and creating info graphics.   Responsible for sourcing out, scheduling, interviewing and drafting success stories, as well as additional content needed for publications.  Lead on e-newsletter, in terms of content and layout.

1. 45% Ongoing
Generate success stories (one bi-monthly) E-newsletter – Primary lead to develop, maintain and update online contents including website, social networking sites and blog using stories, video and photos. Write content as needed for press releases, online and email communications, publications, brochures, public education materials and corporate partnerships. Assist in creating presentations and assist with All-Team meetings, as requested.

2. 20% Ongoing
Maintain and Operate Speakers’ Bureau. Regularly work on developing existing list; scheduling solicitations. Schedule staff in response to requests and Tracking of reports.

3. 20% Ongoing
Execute Social Media Plan, includes Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube. Strategic and technological competency. Maintain and track all of our Social Media efforts. Regular report tracking and communicating results, trends, take-away, etc.

4. 15% As needed
Create graphics (Illustrator, Photo Shop) Post to intranet, website, e-newsletter Design email and print invitations. Assist with proofreading external documents circulating to a mass audience.
Assist with creating, maintaining media lists, field media inquiries and digital media library.

Other marketing and communications work as directed.


Must be degree eligible in Marketing and Public Relations field.
Working experience with basic Web and Internet technology.
Understanding of use of social networking media and CMS programs.
Good verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills.
Detailed oriented and able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
Able to develop and implement project plans.
Experience in all Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop and presentation software.
Enthusiasm to investigate new technologies.
Able to clearly articulate Freestore Foodbank’s mission, vision, and brand to build positive relationships with all Freestore Foodbank audiences.
