Bengals, bites and auctions…oh my! Thanks to everyone who joined us for the Cincinnati Bengals’ 14th Annual Taste of the NFL presented by TriHealth on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Paul Brown Stadium. With your support we raised approximately $130,000, the equivalent of 390,000 meals.

Who Dey Nation
This year, we were honored to welcome Bengals Linebacker Rey Maualuga as one of our hosts for the event.  He was joined by several other Cincinnati Bengals players, coaches, alums and Ben-Gal cheerleaders.

“I know firsthand how it feels to need help, to not have money or a full stomach,” said Rey. “There were times that I would go for days with only eating once. Things have truly come full circle. It is rewarding to be able to use my platform to help hungry children and families.”

Fans mixed and mingled with their favorite players, snapping photos and getting a few autographs!

The Best Bites In Town? You Bet!
Chef Michael Ly of The Pacific Kitchen served as Taste of the NFL co-host and was joined by some of the best Chef Michaelrestaurants in town! Our guests enjoyed dinner-by-the-bite from some of Tri-State’s favorite restaurants, including Jean Robert’s Table, nada, SALAZAR, Pontiac BBQ and Holtman’s Donuts.

“You get to enjoy some really good food, because all of the top chefs in town are on-hand for the event,” said Chef Michael. “We all put our hearts and souls into it to help the Freestore.”

“A lot of amazing chefs and restaurants get together for this great event,” said Chef Jean-Robert de Cavel. “And the cause is really, really important.”

Going Once, Going Twice…
The evening also included a silent auction as well as a live auction of dinners and other experiences with players. Bengals Color Analyst Dave Lapham and Local 12 Anchor Bob Herzog joined us as our emcees and auctioneers, while Kiss107’s D-Lo provided the tunes.
