What is Outnumber Hunger?

Outnumber hunger is a Feeding America initiative launched in March 2012 to fight hunger by partnering with its network of food banks across the country. Specially marked food packages will have codes that can be entered online at www.OutnumberHunger.com to help Feeding America secure meals for local food banks. For every code entered by March 1, 2014, $0.65 cents will be donated to Feeding America Outnumber Hunger strives to make an impact in local communities when it’s needed most.

How does it work?

When a code from specially marked products is redeemed online, the redeemer can enter their zip code to direct to which Feeding America network food bank the donation should be routed. At the end of Outnumber Hunger, General Mills will make a donation to Feeding America for all the codes redeemed and direct to which food banks across the country. Participating brands include:

  • Progresso
  • Hamburger Helper
  • Betty Crocker
  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch
  • Nature Valley
  • Fiber One
  • Yoplait
  • Pillsbury
  • Toaster Strudel
