The Freestore Foodbank will be closed on Monday, January 17th, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, January 18th.

However, in response to President Obama’s call to make MLK Day a day of community service, we’ll be hosting a Power Pack-a-thon Monday on Fountain Square. It runs from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Volunteers will stuff Power Packs with nutritious, easy-to-prepare food items. The Freestore Foodbank distributes Power Packs every Friday, to make sure children have something to eat over the weekend, when they’re away from school.
