Time Commitment: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
Essential Functions: Engage and support new and returning Kids Cafe partner site coordinators by serving as an ongoing liaison for program needs. Recruit and engage volunteers to assist with the Kids Cafe program at interested partner sites. Assist with research and community outreach in order to promote, sustain, and potentially expand the Kids Cafe program in Freestore Foodbank (FSFB) urban and rural counties. Assist in ongoing research regarding nutrition, alternative models, etc. to continually improve the Kids Cafe program. Work with FSFB staff and the Power Pack VISTA in developing and researching means to sustain and grow the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) in FSFB urban and rural counties.
Minimum Qualifications: Public speaking; writing/editing; fundraising/grant writing; computer proficiency; ability to recruit/persuade others; ability to teach others
Requirements: Some college required; minimum age of 18; proof of AmeriCorps eligibility (citizenship documents); background check; AmeriCorps application
Benefits: $435.40 bi-weekly living stipend; choice of end-of-term education award ($5,550) or cash stipend ($1,500) upon successful completion of term; personal time and sick time
