Duration: Long-term – more than 3 months
Time Commitment: 10+ hours per week
Schedule: Flexible; Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Essential Functions: In conjunction with supervisors assist with the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources and Volunteer Management Department. Provides fast and friendly customer service to potential volunteers, including individuals, corporate, civic, faith-based, and school groups. Schedules volunteers for open volunteer opportunities, following established processes. Provide clerical support in the maintenance of employee’s and volunteer’s records via computer and hard copy. Data entry as needed. Assist in the maintenance of confidential employee personnel, payroll, training or volunteer files by sorting, filing, and shredding of records. Help with mailings, surveys, and the creation of reports. Minimum typing and data entry. Assist with special projects.
Serve as backup in all areas. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications: Customer service experience, and particularly experience with volunteers. Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. General understanding of databases and/or scheduling software preferred. Must maintain confidentiality of restricted information and be professional in all areas of work. Working knowledge of filing systems maintenance, knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, experience in an office setting, particularly with personnel functions, is a plus. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good filing and typing skills.
Requirements: 18 years or older, high school graduate with 2 years office clerical support, Working knowledge of standard office equipment including PCs, telephone, copiers, fax machine, and printer required.
