The Cincinnati Enquirer recently published an article about Cincinnati’s childhood poverty rate being the third worst in the nation, with about 48 percent of children living in poverty. According to the study by the National Center for Children in Poverty, Detroit has the highest percentage of child poverty with 53.6% and Cleveland has the second highest with 52.6%.
