The Cheesecake Factory is relaunching their Pineapple Upside-Down Cheesecake for National Cheesecake Day 2019. The Pineapple Upside-Down Cheesecake is The Cheesecake Factory’s twist on a classic: creamy pineapple cheesecake with maraschino cherry swirl between two layers of moist buttery pineapple upside-down cake. For every slice sold from July 30, 2019 – February 29, 2020, The Cheesecake Factory will donate $0.25 to Feeding America. The program will generate a minimum donation of $100,000 which will be split 50/50 between the national office and the food bank where the qualifying purchase was made.

For those new to the pack, this is the hideous wolf t-shirt clad bar crawl that fills the streets of Cincinnati every year. Proceeds benefit Freestore Foodbank and the West Clermont Wolf Pack Pantry.

On Sunday, September 1, 200,000 rubber ducks will swim in the Ohio River along the Serpentine Wall. The first prize winner will receive a 2019 Honda CR-V courtesy of Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Honda Dealers, and possibly $1 million, if their duck is the “KEMBA Million Dollar Duck.” The second prize winner will receive $100 in gift cards from Kroger every week for a year ($5,200 total), and five additional winners will receive $500 cash from KEMBA Credit Union. Ducks are available now! The Rubber Duck Regatta is the Freestore Foodbank’s largest fundraising event, raising over a million dollars a year for the last five years.
Subway is celebrating Hunger Action Month this September in local communities! This affects 150 food banks some have one store participating and others 700. Let us know if you need help clarifying your part. For every 2 Subway meals sold, one meal ($0.10) will be donated to a Feeding America local food bank. Maximum donations vary in Subway markets. You DO NOT have to buy 2 meals at a time to have 1 donated. Every meal counts this month!
The Voices of Health competition gives a $20,000 prize to the organization who receives the most votes. The funding would be restricted to our School Pantry program. Voting is simple! Just come back and vote every day (that’s right, every day) and vote for us!

This year, Wells Fargo is donating up to $5 million to the Feeding America network of food banks, and matching every dollar donated (with a match cap of $25,000 per food bank and $5,000 per donor) up to $1 million from November 1 – December 31, 2019. 100% of consumer donations will benefit their local food banks and can be made at Wells Fargo ATMs, through Text to Give and via the Feeding America online donation page: www.feedingamerica.org/wellsfargo.
Empty Bowls is an international movement to involve the pottery community in helping the hungry. The proceeds from the Cincinnati Clay Alliance Empty Bowls events benefit Kids Cafe of the Freestore Foodbank. There are over 15 Kids Cafe locations in greater Cincinnati where children receive a nourishing meal, help with homework and personal hygiene, and can participate in fun activities.
This is the 20th annual Empty Bowls event put on by the Cincinnati Clay Alliance! The Clay Alliance serves up handmade bowls made by our members and Arnold’s Bar and Grill serves up some delicious soup. This year, desserts and breads will be donated by Clay Alliance members too. Music will be provided by Pandini Brothers (Italian Street Music).
Arnold’s is Cincinnati’s oldest continuing operational bar (minus the alcohol part during probation), since 1861. Thank you for helping the Cincinnati Clay Alliance raise over $338,000 for hungry children! Please help us continue our mission. Meal tickets include a handmade bowl. More donated handmade items will be available for purchase the day of the event. Additional donations can be made below with or without a meal ticket purchase.
