Hunger Action Month
September marks the second annual Hunger Action Month, an effort by Feeding America and local food banks to raise awareness in the fight against hunger. Hunger affects 1 in 8 people of many different backgrounds, races, and situations.

For Hunger Action Month, the Freestore Foodbank is providing information on how hunger affects certain populations of people in our local community including children, seniors, the homeless, and those is rural areas. We use food to strengthen our community by determining the root causes of hunger and how to fight poverty. Our programs serve the needs of those in crisis -- we provide food, connection and hope in our region. Please take a moment to look through the information we have provided and encourage others to do so as well.
